First Temple Campaign

St seems the natural order of the universe is such that Legends are born of humble beginnings….

Battles are often named for where they took place, formerly an unknown valley or bridge, unremarkable for millennia until one event whereupon history is rewritten and a kingdom falls or a great evil is defeated.

It is left to bards to recount and regale the names of generals and heroes and how they fared during these fateful days. With each retelling a little of the original truth is lost or reworked.

The countless names of those who fought and died are relegated to dusty volumes and consigned to obscurity. As the years, decades, and centuries pass these names and their brave deeds are forgotten.

Most common folk have heard tell of Gasselhorn. Bards sing the name of the shrewd dwarven general Doradin Ironhammer and his valiant but ultimately doomed battle against the lizardking. The secret history, consigned to dusty volumes records that Doradin was nothing more than a common miner turned battle-captain and that he was aided by a company of elves and a centaur!

This is the start of such a story. It is not THE start, but it is a start.

This start begins on the 3rd day of Patchwall, Year of the Red River 1238, in the small village of Falcons Hollow, a dirty frontier town almost wholly owned by the Darkmoon Vale Logging Consortium.

Campaign Information

The First Temple campaign is a prequel adventure set nearly two decades before the events laid out in the classic Temple of Elemental Evil adventure series. It uses a combination of converted material (1e, 3e and Pathfinder) and my own adventures based upon a host of fan written material and forum posts from the original Greyhawk campaign.
